Equestrians, you can arrange to bring your horse, ride in our arena or on nearby stunning Uretiti beach. If you'd like to bring your friendly dog, we can accommodate your furry friends. Our location is very quiet: no traffic noise, just the occasional sound of surf and birds. Not just for horse lovers.

Wander out to feed the sheep and explore the stream. Watch kotare, tui, piakawaka, hawks, and kereru Close to both Boomrock and the Hunua Traverse. Handy for Polo, A and P Grounds, and local venues. Visit local markets, launch your boat from Kawakawa Bay or rest and recover from your bike ride in our outdoor bath.

Horse and dog friendly barn (2 double beds)

Our private barn is the perfect escape to nature. Relax and unwind close to Kumeu township and showgrounds, amazing wineries and breath-taking west coast beaches. Your accommodation has its own private access, with 2 queen bedrooms, 1 bath/shower, and a laundry. Dogs are welcome but must be socialised and not a risk to horses, other dogs, cats, chickens etc. You can also bring your horse who can stay in the field next to the barn (or in one of the stables if you need).

'The Barn' Waiheke

The Barn is a fantastic bespoke renovated property with exceptional sea & rural views . A large open plan space with something to entertain old and young alike, whether it be table tennis, foozeball, darts? Relaxing on beanbags out on the deck? Maybe watching a movie on the 50” Smart TV You can enjoy the Barrel sauna (shared space) with outdoor shower, or the cabana (shared space) with an extra large outside double bath. Perfect for friends, couples or families.

The Onion Shed - comfortable and convenient.

In a previous life this B&B was a shed for sorting & drying onions. This old onion shed has been fully renovated into a beautiful, relaxing studio for two. From your room you have unspoilt rural views of the market gardens. There is a 100yr old oak tree in front of your cottage where you can relax. We offer a continental breakfast which includes toast and cereal with homemade jams and fresh fruit from the orchards.

The Barn

The Barn is a private little hide away set in the Waitakere Rangers. Uniquely decorated with open rooms and living great for family and friends. You are surrounded by native birds of every kind. At night all you can hear is the Morepork and during the day only birds and bees. Plenty of room to move around inside and out. **We do not allow the venue to be booked for parties or events.**
