Less than an hour from Minneapolis, the Loondocks is a sun-soaked, pet-friendly hideout on beautiful Big Eagle Lake. Natural stone steps (NOTE: These are uneven, so do not book if you have mobility concerns!) lead down to the bungalow-style house, a stylish bunkhouse, wood-burning sauna, spacious deck with lake views, and flat waterfront yard. Built in 2017, this comfortable and tranquil getaway includes a full kitchen, bathroom with a cedar-lined shower, electric in-floor heat, a wood stove, warm pine siding throughout, and a spacious sleeping loft. A covered porch, fire pit and fully-stocked woodshed are right outside the door. Your stay includes access to more than ten kilometers of trails traversing hundreds of acres of private woodland originating steps from your door.

The perfect solution for cabin fever! This romantic & private log cabin overlooks beautiful Diamond lake. Two queen size beds, one is adjustable w/massage. Hand-hewn rock gas fireplace, massage chair, fully stocked modern kitchen, wifi, YouTube TV (local channels & espn) & streaming. Enjoy the gazebo & hot tub next to the cabin throughout the seasons. I live across the street & clean and sanitize, so I know it is done properly. Note: Optional (additional charge) game room available.

Treehouse (LOTR) Stargazer Skycabin

Our LOTR themed treehouse, along with our LOTR Wizard's Cottage, have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." We have been featured on PBS and WJON radio. A manager lives on the acreage, about 200 ft. from the Wizard's Cottage and very far from the treehouse, which is located on the back part of the acreage. It has a fenced-in portion that makes up the Shire Garden. Down the hill is our nod to Mordor. Feel free to visit and dare to open the "Mor Do(o)r."

Stoney Ridge Lighthouse

The lighthouse is located on 50 acres of wooded property on Rock Lake in central Minnesota (about 2 hours northwest of the twin cities). The 2,000 square foot lighthouse has seven levels, including the crows nest that is over 50 feet high, here guests can see over the canopy of the trees. It is a timber framed structure that includes 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We hope you, your friends, and family come to enjoy our property as much as we have over the past 30 years!
