Háafell Lodge

Welcome to Háafell Farm where we raise sheep, keep horses and have one friendly dog. Our private guest house is located 200 meters above the farm, up the mountain at 130 meters above sea level. It is a recently built (2020), 100 square meter, modern “turf house style” house. Háafell means “The High Mountain” and has a long river that cascades down its side with several tiers of waterfalls. It is a five minute walk to our canyon and it is possible to take a cold bath in one of the waterfalls.

Wooden, warm house for six people. Perfectly integrated into the lava field at the foot of the extinct GRABROK volcano, which you can enter almost straight from home :). Beautiful views and silence. Only the sounds of nature can be heard. An ideal place to observe the northern lights (no city lights). Just 300 meters from the main road No. 1. Fully equipped kitchen. Perfectly clean drinking water flows from the tap. The jacuzzi is already working :) There are bubbles and it's nice :) !!!

Rest a body and soul by sea

Get close to nature and history at the very small village, Borðeyri. Tangahus guesthouse is few meters from the sea. Looking out of the windows you may feel like being on board a boat. The view from windows heading towards north is fantastic, especially at sunset in the summer time. During winter time our guests often see beautiful northern lights. Guests love to take walk to the beach and listen to the mysterious sound of the sea and seabirds. If you are lucky you can also see seals!

Bjarmaland - A Cozy Blue House near the Ocean

Bjarmaland is an old stonehouse in Hvammstangi. It's a small house, about 55m2 and has three floors with two rooms on the ground floor; Bathroom and Kitchen, the entrance at the first floor, and a cozy Bedroom/Living room on the second floor. Only 1 minute walk to the Supermarket, the Tourist Information Center, Icelandic Seal Center and the restaurant in the town; Sjávarborg. Nearby, only few minutes walk, is the Swimming Pool, the Post office and the Bank. Licence: HG-00005547

Spectacular place´ Wake up to the ocean dancing, birds singing and seals right outside your window. Approximately 50 kilometres outside of Reykjavik, more precisely, in Hvalfjordur is a little cottage located right by the ocean shore. On the ground floor is a joint kitchen/living room includes a microwave and a dishwasher. The kitchen view is the sea itself. And then there is a nice private bathroom. Steinnes is a farm located in picturesque Icelandic scenery with a beautiful view of mountains and the river running by. It lies 15 minutes (by car) south of Blönduós and 2 km from the main road.

We usually have horses at home, and if you like, you can contact us and we’ll let you pet them with us! We’re located in Hvammstangi but still very private, with only the ocean and landscape in view. There are a lot of birds at the beach, and there’s even a chance to spot seals. Occasionally whales enter the fjord, but you’ll need a lucky day to see them.
