Silver Fox Barn is a stone barn conversion in the hamlet of Hetton Hall, near Chatton, which we fell in love with and fully refurbished in 2015. If you want peace and quiet, fresh country air, and an abundance of wildlife, this is for you. Warm and cosy, with beamed ceilings and a log fire, the Barn is furnished with hand-crafted furniture by Indigo, comfy modern sofas, and finishing touches of local and historical interest. Ground floor - Entrance hall with cloaks and WC. Snug room with TV, DVD and games. Farmhouse style kitchen with pine table, range cooker with electric oven and gas hob, combi microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and French doors opening out to the enclosed front garden and patio area. Lounge with wood burning stove, TV with Freeview, DVD and arch over patio doors leading to the rear enclosed garden. First floor - Bedroom 1 with a Super king-size bed, en-suite shower room, heated towel rail and WC, and walk-in dressing room. Bedroom 2 with a Super king-size bed. Bedroom 3 with Twin beds. This comfortable 3 bedroom cottage is situated on a working farm, with St Cuthbert’s, St Oswald’s and the Sandstone way passing through. With Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed nearby there is plenty to keep everyone entertained. After a day of exploring, return to the cottage to relax and unwind in front of the wood burning stove. Secure storage of bikes and kayaks can be available on request.

*NEWLY RENNOVATED* The cottage is located in the quiet village of Bowsden. 15 minutes to the beach, and Holy Island, 20 minutes to Bamburgh, 30 minutes to Alnwick, and a couple miles to the pub. The cottage is well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine and log burner for the winter. Downstairs kitchen/lounge, and a toilet, upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms (1 can be a twin) and a small snug with a single bed or baby cot, and a small bathroom. Good sized garden, with field views.

The Cheviot Hills are a 25 minute drive away and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne can be seen from the garden.

For colder months my home is cosy with central heating and a wood burning stove; perfect to relax in front of after exploring the island .
