The space is located on the same property as the farm winery, adjacent to trails along Gunpowder River, known for fly fishing, swimming, tubing and hiking opportunities. Join us for peaceful sunrises, beautiful sunsets and starry skies. We are close to the NCR, Big Truck Brewery, Inverness Brewery, the Farmyard, historic Manor Mill and other local interests.

Our 1919 charming home, surrounded by 50 acres of preserved land, is in an historic district and a stone's throw from the NCR hike/bike trail. We have tubes to float down the Gunpowder River which winds around our property and is accessible by foot. The bike path is lovely! Inverness Brewery is located 5 minutes away, Starbright farm is a glorious lavender farm 15 minutes north, Boordy Vineyards, a family run winery, is 20 minutes east, and Ladew Toipiary Gardens is another gem to behold!

Unique Tiny House Getaway on An Historic Farm

The Hen House Cottage is a tiny house located on an historic farm in central Maryland. It is surrounded by six acres of beautiful pasture and gardens. The Cottage has great light throughout the day, a well-equipped kitchen (microwave, oven, coffee grinder, coffee maker, large fridge, etc.), a full bathroom (with shower), a sleeping area with a comfortable queen-sized bed, dedicated (free) wi-fi, a smart TV, blue tooth sound system, and an eclectic library. Linens and towels are provided.

Centrally located to shops, galleries, walking and biking trails, Lake Roland, Baltimore, DC and PA. Especially suitable for a restorative or romantic getaway.

Or soak in the large soaking tub inside, Or relax in the brand-new hot-tub and gaze up at the stars at night. All kitchen utensils, plates, and cooking pans are supplied. There is a breville coffee maker to make your favorite cup of coffee or latte,(bring your own dairy)

Rest and Recharge Retreat

We have a new larger tent for 2026! Queen size bed. We have also added a sauna to our retreat. Rest and recharge at this beautifully landscaped glamping retreat. Enjoy quiet moments of zen in the meditation garden, awake to the birds and butterflies, float the afternoon away in the pool or enjoy stargazing in the hot tub at night. We are set up for a quiet retreat for 2 people. Additional guests must be approved in advance. No parties!

The Miller's House is a quaint and beautiful, newly restored two-bedroom house that sits on a small river and is also a national historic landmark. The house has been painstakingly restored recently, with modern amenities you'd expect such as all-new appliances and high speed WiFi. Proximity to the Gunpowder Falls for fishing or tubing, the NCR trail (less than .2 mile away) and endless roads to bike on make it a great escape.
