Over 700 sq ft of living space with 200 sq ft of storage and laundry area. The unit is the bottom floor of our home and has its own entrance and washer dryer, no sharing or quarters required! High ceilings for a daylight basement, if you are under 6'9" you are good to go. Huge windows that face the south and east. You can actually see a small section of the cascades range from the living room window. New, functional kitchen space has been totally redesigned. Bathroom has also been completely redone. Modern tiled shower/bath with a european style shower rod. Comes with your own outdoor space, gas grill, table and chairs. Street parking is always available, no zones to deal with. The address scores a walkability rating of 88 'Very Walkable" on Walkscore, with bus routes 2, 8, 48 and 84 less than .2 miles away. This is a gem of an apartment, blocks from capitol hill yet nice and quiet. Our cats love visiting if you're into that. Lots more photos. The house sits on a quiet street, right on the edge of the all action. Find coffee shops, bars, and restaurants within blocks. Capitol Hill is also just a quick 15-minute walk away from the property. You can always find a parking spot right out front. There are no parking restrictions on our street. Uber is also very convenient in our area, with pick up times often less than two minutes. Rest a mug on the reclaimed wood coffee table and snuggle up on the comfy corner sofa in this prime city neighborhood, next to lively Capitol Hill. Here, crisp white decor, clean lines, and cool marble contrast with rustic bricks and hardwood floors. The apartment is in the brighter half of the lower level of our home, occupied by 2 adults and a 3 year-old toddler. Prior to booking, make sure that you are okay with occasional noise coming from the other side of the basement where our family room is located or upstairs in the main floor of the house. Our guests are able to access the entire unit, including private bedroom & bathroom, living room and use our driveway as free parking on premises, as long as they have a compact car that doesn't block the driveway of our neighbors. We are pretty flexible when it comes to guest interaction -- we communicate as little or as much as our guests like and feel comfortable. We respect guests from all cultural and religious background. We've invited guests for gatherings in our place in the past and they've all appreciated to socialize with us and our group of friends. The apartment is close to Montlake Blvd Market, and the University of Washington and the UW light rail station are just a short walk away. Some local cafes and restaurants, like Little Lago and Cafe Lago, are also within walking distance. There is free street parking in front of the house. Compact cars can park in the driveway in front of the apartment. UW light rail station is a 0.8 mile walk away via the Montlake play field park shortcut. The light rail brings you to downtown in 6 minutes (only 2 stations), the stadiums in 15 minutes (6 stops), and the SeaTac airport in 45 minutes (14 stations). If you are traveling on a budget, Uber/Lyft are great alternatives to get to close by neighborhoods like Capitol Hill, East Lake Union, Downtown, Bell Town, Queen Anne, or upscale University Village.
