Charming 15th Century Castle

Built in the late 1400s, Grantstown Castle has been lovingly restored and mixes medieval architecture with modern comforts. The Castle Is Rented In Its Entirety and caters for up to Six Guests. The castle is comprised of six floors, connected via a stone and oak spiral staircase. There are three double bedrooms. The castle has great battlements which are accessible at the top of the staircase and host amazing views of the surrounding countryside.

Lighthouse keepers; Home of the year finalist

Welcome to the lighthouse keepers house! We have been voted as one of Ireland’s top 50 places to stay by the Irish Independent #Fab50 ( number 26 :)) We spent two years renovating this 200 year old building. In May 2020, it featured on RTE Home of the year and became a finalist in the top 7 homes in Ireland. Irish lights built all 76 lighthouses & keepers houses in Ireland, and this is the only lighthouse keepers house in a town in Ireland!

Located at the heart of the Cappoquin Estate family farm, experiencing our 150-year-old transformed hay barn has been described by guests as "special", "wondrous" and "magical". Nestled between a renowned Irish garden and a Georgian house, this cozy flat accommodates up to 3 guests. This is the perfect place for an authentic countryside escape! Note: access to the flat is up a one-storey narrow spiral staircase (see photos)
