The Historic Garden Cottage

An historic free-standing building on our 12 acre property "Claremont" (c.1857), the Garden Cottage has been fully renovated to offer a unique place to stay in beautiful, peaceful and historic surroundings. The accommodation is totally private, with a queen bed, en suite bathroom and basic food preparation facilities (fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle). It has a split system for heating and cooling. The Garden Cottage is approx. 3.4 km to the heart of Castlemaine township, and is only a short walk to the lovely Botanical Gardens.

Our modern tiny home is located on a small raspberry farm on the edge of the stunning Wombat Forest just out of Trentham, Victoria. Inside the home, you'll find a comfortable retreat complete with an indoor fireplace, kitchen with gas stovetop, fridge & day beds perfect for the ultimate relax and reset stay. We've also got a wood-fired sauna sitting on the large deck with a picturesque view of the Wombat State Forest. If you want to venture outside, there are walking tracks at your door stop.

The Nissen

The Nissen is a spacious, light filled two bedroom holiday house overlooking the historic town of Castlemaine, aptly named for its resemblance to a World War II Nissen Hut. Enjoy the comfort of a wood fire and split system, fully equiped kitchen, and expansive views from the open plan living area. Wonderfully private and secluded considering its convenient central location, and featuring all modern appliances. Our place has a stone sauna, big cold-plunge with deck chairs, a huge deck, 'sky bath', beautiful outside dinner table, ping-pong and homemade chess set. Up to 2 well behaved dogs welcome - but add each dog when booking. No cats, sorry.

It's a totally separate and private space, air conditioned, double glazed and with its own off-street parking and access. It is within walking distance to the town centre, The Mill Complex, The Bridge Hotel and the Botanic Gardens; and just a 7 min walk up the hill from the railway station. Union House c.1861

Union House is a unique part of Castlemaine's history. Built in the early 1860's in the central area of the town, it is a minutes walk from all the town's attractions- the galleries, restaurants, hotels, theatre, boutiques, supermarket, and easy walking distance to the gardens, regional parks, railway station, and the Woollen Mill complex. The cottage has been recently renovated to amalgamate its historic features with contemporary comforts and luxurious appointments.

Red Brick Barn overlooks Forest Creek and surrounding Goldfields heritage bushland. A walking track is at the door for a lovely walk to Wesley hill Saturday market or continue on to explore nearby Castlemaine with it's wonderful Architecture and vibrant café and arts culture. Red Brick Barn is an eclectic mix of European and Early Australian antiques, including French Industrial Furniture and Lighting, Turkish Kilims from Anatolia and rare "Depression" pieces.
