You can relax while watching the boats go by, take long coastal walks, go for a swim in the ocean, dine in the local award winning pub/restaurant (The Bulman), explore the 16th century fort (Charles Fort), take a stroll into town or an electric bike & head out exploring. This snug, grass-roofed eco-cabin offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a warm Irish welcome, mountain walks on the Beara Way or snorkelling through nearby reefs. Sample local cheeses, lamb, fish and seafood or stoke up the wood-burning stove, have a glass of wine and and savour the peace and tranquillity! Word of warning: we are VERY remote, (1km off the road down a rough track). With almost no public transport, own transport (eg car) is highly recommended - see Getting Around!

Our Cosy Cabin looking out at the stunning Atlantic views nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Toehead located on the WAW is a perfect location for a romantic break, a solo trip or for someone that needs some therapeutic time. The beach is 2 mins away down a country lane, lots of peninsula walks including the popular Éire walk, nice pubs and restaurants (10 mins drive), lots of sight-seeing, sailing, kayaking, fishing, swimming while enjoying a taste of country life on a working dairy farm

Ilen River Cottage

Ilen Cottage is a peaceful hide away, for two, on the edge of the Ilen Estuary. With access to the water sailing, kayaking, swimming good, observe sea birds, seals and otters. Walking and exploring islands are also popular activities here. The cottage is 15mins from Skibbereen and Ballydehob and a perfect base for exploring beautiful West Cork. This is self catering accommodation so best to pick up your provisions in Skibbereen and experience the many restaurants in Ballydehob and around.

Located 30 mins from Kinsale Clonakilty and Cork City which allows you to indulge in West Cork at ease.

We are situated on the Beara Peninsula, just up the road from Helen's Bar in Kilmackilogue. Our Shepherds Hut called The Bothy, overlooks the sea, and is three minutes walk to the beach. Enjoy nature at its best with views of Kenmare Bay and its surrounding mountains. It is a hikers paradise, lying just off 'The Beara Way' . Cyclists will also be in their element with The Healy Pass a few kilometres away. Kenmare is half an hour away with wonderful shops and restaurants.

Secluded and tranquil, we are 90 minutes minutes from Cork Airport, 2 hours west of Cork city and a 15 min DRIVE from Ballydehob. Surrounded by working farms on 4 acres; an oasis of trees and home to a variety of bird life.

Douce Mountain cabin is a charming self contained little house situated at the foot of Douce Mountain. There is a living space with a stove and a kitchenette on the groundfloor . A ladder leads the loft with 2 beds. It is a very quiet place surrounded y nature. Our other guesthouse is about 100 metres further down . Our own farmhouse is about 500 metres away. It is ideal for someone looking for a very quiet place to relax and immerse themselves in nature.
