This vintage forest cabin is perched above our pristine mountain stream, set amidst a highly diverse indigenous botanical forest wetland.The cabin is entirely private with a large deck and extensive views of both mountain peaks. Hand built by owner over a period of two years, with hardwood floors throughout, hand waxed with beeswax polish from our own hives. Guests enjoy their own private access along their secluded forest path. A vintage Nestor Martin canon style wood stove will restore you.

The wooden cabin is set between palm trees with beautiful valley views on a small holding in the evergreen Chelsea nature conservancy area with amazing sea views, surrounded by diverse bird life, rolling hills and endless skies. The spectacular Sardinia bay beach is a 5min drive and it is only a 30min drive to the Addo NP South Entrance. Some good restaurants are close by and a 20min drive will take you to Port Elizabeth's for a night out. Please note that check in is latest at 8pm please.

"Bird Song" is named after the host of bird calls that greet you each morning (and the night jars that you hear after dark). It is the perfect 'private bush camp' for a ‘family-of-4’ vacation or for a secluded ‘get-away-from-it-all retreat’ for couples. The architect designed timber structure is set on a slope with views through and over the fynbos and right at the edge of pristine Indigenous Forest.
