- First, I’ll share my journey on how I went from the world of sports to Silicon Valley to storytelling as a children's book author.
- Next, I’ll perform two storytime readings, cover-to-cover, of my award-winning picture books Sunny Days and Real Jungle Tales.
- After the reading, we'll explore some of the creative elements involved in bringing this book to life (world-building, color theme, character journey, mood arc, etc.) and share ways children's picture books go from idea to a finished book.
- Lastly, we’ll have an open discussion where kids and adults can ask questions about creating children's books, the stories we read, or advice about how to move forward with their awesome story idea(s).

I’m an award-winning children's book author with six published works and a decade in the field. I was fortunate to read my stories to over 25,000 kids worldwide to date and am excited to now bring this experience to Airbnb. My current work includes creating children's books for traditional publishers, non-profits, independent initiatives, and ex-NBA athletes.

Jesse was fantastic! His books are amazing, brimming with his talent and that of his collaborators. They're so fun to read. The way in which he set up the experience--adding opportunities for learning intermixed with his story telling--was hugely successful and engaging IMO. He kept the pace moving quickly, interacting often with the children on the experience, and keeping them entertained. The adults in the experience, including myself, were just as enthralled!

Phenomenal! This was an evening activity for participants in our leadership development program.
I can't thank Jesse enough for our session. We were in awe of his skill at both telling his beautiful stories and keeping all the kids (and adults) extremely engaged the entire time...on Zoom!
Afterward we heard stories from participants about how much fun their kids had and how memorable it was. This was also a chance for folks to not just have their kids with them on Zoom, but to treat them to an experience that felt specially made for them.
He customized the experience ahead of time for our group, but altered his presentation and activities quickly based on who showed up (mostly kids). We also really enjoyed hearing about his fascinating personal/professional journey.
Jesse is truly a masterful storyteller and I can't recommend this experience enough.
