Great family vacation base for a Downeast Maine Adventure. Two story, newly renovated, four season cabin with 1000 square feet of living space sits in a wooded cove off an easily-accessible rural paved road. Centrally located between the two units of Acadia National Park (Mount Desert Island and Schoodic Peninsula) and the beautiful, quiet lakes and mountains of the Donnell Pond Maine State Preserve. Although not on the water, there is access to our private Taunton Bay shore, 3.5 miles away.

Enjoy beautiful sunrises and kayaking on the clean, clear water of the 360 acre pond known for its variety of fish. Comes fully furnished and equipped with all the normal amenities, including a gas grill, large fire pit with wood, 4 kayaks, and paddle board to explore the lake. Only 23 miles to Acadia and Bar Harbor, and conveniently located 15 minutes from Ellsworth, and 5 minutes from a trading post.

A unique offering for those who want a true farm experience! A clean, rustic above-barn space. Farm animals live below-Mr Teach the roo may crow (early!) chickens will cluck! There is a 2 burner stove, cold water sink seasonally(jugs provided in winter) a dorm fridge, and basic kitchen ware. Tea and coffee provided, veg & eggs for sale. The shower is at the main house, (either indoor or outdoor) and a bucket-style compost toilet is in the apartment. There’s a full bed and a fold out couch.
