Property is gated, guest have there own access and free to roam the property. We like to give guest there own space, however either myself or a staff member are always available and happy to help. Visit the Huguenot Memorial Museum to learn about local history. Uber is recently available in Franschhoek but does have a limited presence (after 11pm/12pm). La Vieille Cure

LaViellie Cure in one of the oldest house in Franschhoek, built earlier than 1850 and declared National Monument in 1981. The cottage has its own private entrance and cozy courtyard with mountain view and pergolas at the front and back patios. Lakeside tranquility with wood fired hot tub

Avocado cottage is one of three cabins on the edge of a lake in the heart of the picturesque Banhoek conservancy. It is a light, modern cabin with a private, wood fired hot tub, access to endless hiking and the finest mountain biking trails in the Western Cape. Although it is styled as a two person cabin, there is an open queen sized pod attached to the living room which can sleep 2 children or an extra guest for an extra fee. The deck of this cottage reaches out over the lake.

Heidi’s Barn, Franschhoek

Situated on a small holding 5km outside Franschhoek, opposite the exquisite La Motte Wine Estate, Heidi’s Barn offers the perfect self-catering base from which to explore the Winelands. A fire pit, outdoor dining area and a large swimming pool (shared with one other cottage) are perfect for summertime relaxation while an indoor wood-burning fireplace and wooden floors throughout make for a cosy winter escape. The barn runs on mains power with solar back up for load shedding.

Laundry washing machine available at R35 per load - liquid provided. You can lounge around, or visit the three wine farms bordering us (between 5 and 10min walks) as well as a great beer breweries. We are situated on the main road to Franschhoek - 5 min drive to the center of town.
