Enjoy our holiday cottage on the edge of the Lake District. Many lakes, fells and beaches are easily drivable. Birkrigg common isn’t far and gives lovely views. The pub’s a 5-minute walk away and serves food most evenings There are buses to both Barrow and Ulverston and beyond at the end of the road. Ulverston is famous for its many festivals which attract lots of tourists. Barrow is only a 10-minute drive away for shops or if you want to go a little further Walney nature reserves are lovely.

Our charming one bedroom cottage is located in Ulverston, South Lakes. The cottage itself has been recently renovated with brand new kitchen & bathroom featuring a waterfall shower! Other added amenities include dishwasher, free WiFi and Smart TVs. Located a short stroll from the centre of the busy market town you are close to a range of great independent pubs, restaurants and shops. With local bus and train services close by it makes a perfect base to explore the Lakes and surrounding areas.

The Black Dog Cottage - Cumbrian Countryside Stay

The Black Dog cottage is a charming 3 bedroom 2 bathroom property located in a quiet rural setting two doors down from the Black Dog Inn, outside the town of Dalton in Furness in the Cumbrian countryside. In 2021 the cottage was renovated creating open plan living on the ground floor, a double and single bedroom on the first with family bathroom and a master suite on the second, complete with ensuite. Off road parking is available at the front of the cottage and wifi available throughout.

Located in Swarthmoor, on the outskirts of the beautiful market town of Ulverston, this well equipped cottage is a mile outside the town centre (20 min walk or 5 minute bus ride from the end of the street). It balances the convenience of accessing the town centre but gives a more rural feeling overlooking fields to the front and having the benefit of free on street parking. We offer guests a contact free stay in our detached studio suite in the Lake District.To refresh the studio and to complete intensive cleaning we block off a day either side of every booking. The studio has a king-sized bed, dining table & chairs, a very comfortable sofa, TV, lobby, wet room, small kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, tableware, cutlery.
