We describe it as rustic as the toilet is a porta-potty (serviced weekly, cleaned between guests) and there is no shower or bath. The cabin is insulated, heated, and there is running potable water.

Beautiful rustic off-grid straw bale cabin surrounded by unspoiled nature and working ranch lands, located between Calgary and Canmore. Running water May-Oct, wood stove and old-fashioned outhouse. Cozy and simple with all the comforts you need. We lived in this little cabin with two toddlers for over a year while we built our house and it has everything you need to be comfortable. Enjoy the view of the Rocky Mountains in the morning! Access to the Bow River Trail system is at the end of the side walk. This location provides easy access to main transportation arteries in Calgary as well. We can welcome dogs but not cats as one of us gets severe asthma from cats. So sorry. This booking is for a main floor 2-bedroom bungalow. The basement is not part of the booking. The laundry is shared with the basement. Thanks
