Storybook Farm Cosy Cabin

Our cute, self-contained cabin is part of our working goat farm. It is 18' x 12' (216 sf). It was a tool shed when the farm was first built in the early 20th century. We renovated it into the cutest guest house ever! Outside, we offer acres of lawns on which to frolic, a private fire pit with a gorgeous mountain view, a swimming pond, trampoline, tire swing, lawn toys, and board games. Come meet our goats! Depending on the season, you might milk them, take a cheese class, or go on goat walks.

The home is rich in history but recent renovations make it quite comfortable. The large patio is perfect for watching the sunset over Jack Mountain or the moon rise over the Bullpasture. Clear nights are great for stargazing.

Brent's Cabin

Enjoy our cozy and comfortable cabin situated on 20 private wooded acres near several trout streams, George Washington National Forest, Virginia Game Commission, hiking trails, and caves. Brent's Cabin sleeps four, including a double bed and two twin beds in the loft. For skiing we are 1 hour and 30 minutes from snowshoe and 30 minutes from The Homestead. For fishing we are 5 minutes away from the Bullpasture, 10 minutes from the Cowpasture, and 25 minutes from the Jackson River.

Located 19 miles from Snowshoe resort, 5 miles from the Green Bank Observatory, and 11 miles from Cass Scenic Railroad. There is so much to enjoy from hiking and biking the Greenbrier River trail, canoeing or kayaking one of the nearby rivers or skiing at Snowshoe. Blue Grass Chestnut Cottage offers one bedroom, living room, fully equipped kitchen, full bath with laundry facilities. Also, a twin-size hideaway bed is available. The living room has a gas log heater. The cottage has an open floor plan, no steps, and easy access from the private driveway. Linens and towels are provided. WiFi is available. Chromecast and Amazon Firestick are installed for guest connectivity. A DVD player is also provided.
