The Dearborn Loft House was built in 1978 as one of the first passive houses in the Northwest. Fully remodeled in 2022 as an experiment in regenerative design, the 3BR/2BA Loft House has new fixtures and appliances, heat pump heating/cooling, natural materials, and climate-adaptive landscape. The Loft House has appeared in Vanity Fair and features 14" raw cedar beams, metalwork by Seattle sculptor George Tsutukawa, poured concrete, and a flood of natural light. Welcome. Private Garden Cottage

The cottage is a private, self-contained unit, featuring a well-stocked kitchenette, tiled shower, bedroom loft with french doors opening onto a deck, flat screen TV, DVD player, wifi, Bluetooth wireless speaker, and off street parking. Dog weight limit 25 pounds. Noise may be an issue for some due to airplanes. Stairs to the loft are steep. We are also located on a steep hill. We provide coffee/tea, juice, and some snacks. Everyone is welcome here.
