Weaver Cottage at Kyaninga Lake Uganda

Rental is for the full property; we now have national electricity and piped water, power sockets, fridge, microwave, etc, and a good phone network. Two ensuite bedrooms, doubles plus king sofa-beds, toilet/hot shower each room. Watch crested cranes, turacos. Swim the lake, walk to Fort Portal and round the lake, visit adjoining lodges, tour our indigenous forest, visit the rift valley. For extra guests ask for the tent (garden campers shower/toilet available). For pre-teen children, no charge.

Three Bedroom House

Welcome to our friendly compound in a peaceful rural area just 10 minutes outside Fort Portal, near Kampala Road. Here you can relax in the garden, prepare for your next trip or simply enjoy a retreat from work. Our accommodations range from single rooms to apartments and a family bungalow. Please click on Moses’ icon to find your choice. Two members of staff live on site, ready to assist you with everything from laundry to planning your next activity. Apiary Cottage 3

Apiary Cottage is set just up the hill from our farmstead. This room is set up high, among the eucalyptus branches and weaver birds, with a view of savanna from the deck and rainforest from the window. Sitting quietly off the grid among crater lakes and spectacular views, visit for a relaxing retreat or a sightseeing tour of the volcano region. Your stay helps support our project, Enjojo Farms: a conservation drive to reduce human-wildlife conflict and promote sustainable beekeeping practices.

Spacious apartment with mountain view

This spacious two-bedroom apartment has the best of both worlds - the convenience of being in the heart of the city (3 min drive to center of town) and gorgeous Rwenzori Mountain views on a clear day. The apartment is big enough for a family and has a desk, wifi, kitchen, & balcony, making it perfect for short or long term stays. Guests can access a shared rooftop patio with a fire pit, outdoor tables, and grill. Services are available such as room cleaning, laundry, and homemade organic meals.

Moonflower

Perched on the rim of ancient volcanic crater lake Kyaninga this place offers stunning views of the surrounding rainforest and the mythic Mountains of the Moon. Black and White colobus monkeys and an incredible variety of birds, including a resident flock of crested cranes, inhabit the immediate surroundings and many species live in the large, magnificent tropical garden that includes a meditation/yoga garden. You will feel refereshed and rejuvinated here; you will want to stay here forever.

Crater Lake House - Crater lake views

Crater Lake House is a large house with an open living and dining space at the centre of which is a cozy fireplace. Enjoy spectacular views of Kyaninga Crater Lake and the Mountains of the Moon. This serene getaway is a 20 minute drive from Fort Portal. The lake is clean and safe to swim in, and you can enjoy beautiful walks along the 4 km rim, and/or explore the Crater. A fun get away for families. Breakfast available $10 pp. Grocery shopping $5. Takeaway services are also available.

Lake Kerere Cottage

Enjoy this stunning location, with incredible views over Lake Kerere and Kibale National Park, with the Rwenzoris Mountains as your other view. There are 2 full time staff to help with washing dishes and cleaning. The cottage is situated on 27 acres of private land with 800 meters of lawn on the crater lake rim - all to yourself. It is a 45 minute drive to the chimp tracking starting point. It’s a great spot to go for walks, runs, bike rides and swim in the crater lakes.

Guests stay at Sunbird Hill to enjoy the unspoilt nature around them. Each overnight guest has a Nature Walk on the house highlighting the beauty of flora and small fauna on the edge of Kibale National Park. An obvious choice for people who do not want to stay in a lodge but want to be close to the start location of tracking the chimpanzees with UWA.
