Less than a mile to 3 boat docks. Walking, Birding & Fishing is the common entertainment of this beautiful coastal neighborhood. Due to asthma, no type of animal is allowed.

Cabin by the Bay is a cozy, comfortable get away located in Goose Island State Park. Sleeps 4 people with a full kitchen and amenities. Friendly neighbors are helpful and knowledgeable about the area or you can go online to find restaurants and events. There are many outdoor activities in Lamar and Rockport ie., fishing, bird watching, going to the beach,shopping, etc. Local festivities include Sea Fair, Oyster Fest, Market Days, Lamardi Gras and more. Whooping cranes ( Oct.-April) and 400 species of birds migrate and live in the area . Deer roam freely . Fishing and boat ramps along the water. State park is a peaceful walk. Rockport a short 9 miles ,lovely drive. No hammock at this time.
