COTTAGE ON THE WILTSHIRE/SOMERSET BORDER-NEAR BATH

Number 16 is a cosy C19 cottage that sleeps 4 adults, plus a baby/infant in 2 bedrooms, 1 king + 1 double. Located in Wingfield village, with a popular pub to walk to, it’s ideal for exploring Bath, Bradford on Avon, and Longleat Safari Park. Nearby train stations offer easy access to Bath. The cottage has central heating. We welcome up to 2 well-behaved dogs (no cats), with gardens at the front and back. Parking for 2 cars is available, and I look forward to offering all guests a warm welcome.

This leaves the whole of the top floor as a light, airy bedroom with a kingsize bed. Huge Velux windows frame the view over the hill and field behind. Parking outside for 1 car (more if needed). Set in a private cobbled courtyard on an organic farm, half a mile from Bruton, this old stone cottage has been lovingly restored. It has an inglenook fireplace, oak-framed roofs, flagstone and elm floors, with art and furniture collected over many years filling the rooms. Bruton is renowned for its restaurants and art galleries. The 'Newt in Somerset' is next door and there many other wonderful nearby destinations and beautiful walks from the farm within the surrounding countryside.

The National Trust property, Stourhead is very close and for walkers, the Monarch's Way runs through the adjacent fields. Well situated for both Longleat and Bath.

The Pigsty

The Pigsty is a modern, comfortable barn conversion situated in an area that used to be part of the farmyard, opposite our farmhouse cottage and a pretty mill with a view of the village on the hillside where the sun sets. Little gated courtyard with table and chairs to enjoy that view. Walking distance to the village shop and local pub for drinks. Great footpaths to explore the countryside, you need a car to make the most of your stay. Maximum of two guests Check in from 4pm

The Coach House, unique country cottage, Somerset

Relax in our countryside cottage surrounded by gardens and fields. The coach house is in the grounds of Grade 2 listed old rectory but is entirely detached and private from the main house. Just a short drive to attractions like Longleat, Stonehenge and Centre Parks. Close to the beautiful city of Bath and arty towns of Bruton and Frome with their galleries, cafe-life and independent shops. Enjoy fresh eggs from our hens and warm your evenings with the wood-burning stove.
