Getting into the colder months, as soon as the lake has frozen over, you can enjoy taking a few steps out of the house and enjoy cross-country skiing to your heart's content all across the lake. If you want downhill skiing we have Mt. Pisgah in Saranac Lake for a milder run and Whiteface by Lake Placid for the more seasoned skiers. After some skiing go back to the cottage and relax in front of the fireplace. Ice fishing....we have plenty.
