Hand built by myself & Granny Mongolia, the Yurt is a mix of traditional Mongolian design & bohemian chic. As you enter the yurt you will instantly notice a sense of calm & grounding, an ideal retreat from a hectic lifestyle. Surrounded by countryside, the yurt is home to many Mongolian artefacts gifted to me by Granny Mongolia. It features a charcoal bbq & stove. Outside there is a large dining area, outdoor kitchen & outdoor bathroom. Child friendly space. As seen on BBC2 My Unique B&B.

Ideally located for fontwell racing & Goodwood. Arundel & Chichester 10 min drive, local walks & cycle routes on doorstep. Easy access to A27.

Madehurst Arundel cosy retreat in the South Downs

The cowshed is compact with main bedroom and kitchen, bathroom and bunk room There is no living room but guests can enjoy the outside table and chairs in the summer or take a rug up the garden and enjoy the spectacular views of the South Downs - it is fabulous and very peaceful with no WiFi. There is a flat screen tv and underfloor heating. Ideal for a family of 4, or for 4 adults it is quite cosy. Perfect for walkers and cyclists. We are very close to the Pig in the South Downs restaurant

Our hideaway offers the perfect getaway. Soak up the peace and quiet, take in the amazing view and relax surrounded by ancient woodland, only 50 miles from London. "Watching the birds fly overhead, from the comfort of a relaxing bed. Watching the trees in the winds sway, all my worries seem faraway. Nestled in the village of Amberley at the foot of the Downs. The hand-built, eco-friendly wood cabin is in the shaded, far corner of the 1 acre plot, facing south towards downland, across fields and a small pond where water birds gather. The cabin is full of rustic charm. It is a completely secluded and tranquil place, ideal for nature lovers and those seeking a short-term escape from the hassle and bustle of city life. It provides a perfect retreat for writers or artists.
