Our Hut is self contained accommodation in a fully renovated 100 years old Corn Shed. Decorate old Australiana goods around the building, unique Australian outback feel. Riverside Retreat is situated on a unique 120-acre property on the Brisbane River 45-min from Brisbane. The tiny house is the epitome of rustic luxury. Designed to extend living into the beautiful surrounds of nature, the space creates a tranquil space to relax and rejuvenate. Explore the river rapids and sandy beach on foot or by water with kayaks available on request and picnic on the riverbank with a campfire at sunset. Additional day visitors can be arranged to access river facilities.

Kamala Cottage

Kamala Cottage is a cosy 110 year old Queensland Railway workers cottage, that was relocated from Minden in 2023. It has been lovingly renovated by the owners, and furnished with antique and vintage furniture and wares. Original features include the beautiful silky oak casement windows, and hardwood flooring, with modern cooking and bathroom facilities added for your comfort. The cottage is sited in its own private bush garden, including fire pit, situated away from the main residence.

Guest house

The cottage is completely separate from the main house on a half-acre block in Karana Downs 28 kms to Brisbane CBD or 12 kms to Ipswich CBD. It is fully self-contained, modern, airy, quiet and peaceful. It has a full kitchen, laundry, dining and lounge area and one double bedroom with queen bed and a bathroom with safety railings. The cottage has two split system air conditioners and two ceiling fans. It has a large private covered verandah on 2 sides and undercover parking for one car.
