The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

The Little House

Lovely little private cabin in Fitzroy. Newly renovated and consists of a bedroom with King size bed. There is a skylight above the bed equipped with a blockout blind. The Bathroom is en-suite with large rain shower. Cosy lounge area with flat screen TV. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided along with microwave, toaster and a fridge. The French doors lead to a decked area overlooking the garden area where you can relax and unwind. E-bikes are available for hire - see photos

We are on the property a working farm but all your spaces are your own. Well positioned for access to tourist attractions: beaches, city and mountain. From the moment you enter the driveway you can feel yourself de-stressing. Herbs & Vegetables in raised bed garden behind cottage- help yourself. We grow lots of our own food & love to share when available.

The Stay on Egmont

The cottage is a quiet retreat 10 mins from New Plymouth city. Wake up to the call of Tui and the sound of a stream running outside. Only a 10 minute drive into New Plymouth and beaches, 5 mins to the Egmont National Park. The Village hosts a cafe, petrol station, large mountain bike park, NZ's largest Holden Museum with luge and mini golf.

Walk 2 minutes down our road and enjoy a spectacular view of Mount Taranaki on a clear day. Walkway around the corner - 30 minutes bike ride to Fitzroy Beach/Te Rewa Rewa bridge. This space is ideal for two, perfect for couples looking for a getaway (but can sleep up to 4 people with an extra mattress on the floor). The bathroom space and kitchenette are detached from the main living space. There is no wifi here and limited reception, come to embrace the serenity and switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
