Beautiful self-built ecological house by the river

This amazing home-made house is newly renovated and located on our small farm where we grow vegetables and fruit trees. The house is made out of rammed earth and stones, placed just a few meters from the gorgeous river of Seixe, surrounded by green hills and fields. The valley is very calm and full of animals such as cows, horses, goats, donkeys, pigs & sheep. In the hot days you can take a cooling dip in the river or visit the amazing beach only 6 km away!

Monte Carpe Diem is a property with 2.5 hectares (6 acres) located in Baixo Alentejo with a distance of 1km (0.6 miles) from Garvão and 13km (8 miles) from Ourique. A nossa quinta situa-se na charneca, nome pelo qual designamos a planície litoral que se estende entre os cabos de Sines e São Vicente/Sagres. Aqui a paisagem é aberta, plana, levemente inclinada para o mar, pontuada por terrenos de cultivo, quintas agrícolas e pinhais. Há privacidade, mas sem a sensação de isolamento.
