The Strawberry Box - luxury eco barn conversion

The Strawberry Box is a luxuriously converted old tractor barn located on our working strawberry farm in rural Suffolk. South facing with extensive views across the rolling countryside, it is self contained and private, perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday, a romantic break or a base for exploring the rich heritage and beautiful villages around us. There are good pubs within comfortable walking distance and footpaths and narrow lanes to explore close by - or just take a wander around the farm.

The Den is a charming and welcoming detached annex. Set in an idyllically peaceful and picturesque location with open-plan living and bifold panoramic windows that open directly on to a loggia with Log Burner. There are further outdoor seating areas in the Herb Garden and Hedge Box, where you can take in the expansive skies, Suffolk is renowned for. We are only a 30 min drive from the glorious Suffolk Coast where we have a traditional Beach Hut that is available for hire in Old Felixstowe.

Only a short walk along a quiet country lane takes you to the river and the centre of Hadleigh, a bustling market town, where there are independent shops, cafes, and pubs. The surrounding countryside is perfect for touring, dog walking and cycling. The Barn’s location is an ideal gateway to Constable country, a designated area of natural beauty.

One end of the cottage has a large modern kitchen and dining area with direct views and access to a beautifully relandscaped garden, and at the other is a wonderfully comfortable and cozy sitting room with log burner. From the well-furnished bedrooms that share an immaculate bathroom are views of Stoke church, made famous by John Constable, and Polstead Village.

The Old Stables. Detached and full of character

On the Suffolk Essex border surrounded by fields, trees, and plenty of wildlife lies our old late 18th century stable building. Just 5 minutes off the A12 and you are in a different world. We live in the thatched Farm Cottage, the oldest part dating back to the 15th century and the stable is situated at the end of the drive. Excellent location for cycling (on the National Cycle Route 1), or visiting Jimmys Farm just 4.9 miles up the road. Walking is a must or just relax and unwind!

Edies Retreat - ideal for a staycation

Edies retreat is a comfortable, self contained studio apartment, set in a small hamlet of houses at the end of a lane adjacent to a farmers field and apple orchard, on the edge of Dedham Vale AONB. Perfect for relaxing or a more active holiday. Walking, cycling and canoeing can all be enjoyed locally. There are plenty of fascinating local villages and towns to visit if history is your thing. We can suggest various itineraries for you and help you arrange your chosen activities.

Bumble Cottage- Cosy, Medieval, Country Retreat

Dating back to the 1300s, Bumble Cottage is a rare Grade II* listed home, lovingly restored to preserve its medieval charm. With exposed beams, crackling log fires and handcrafted touches, it offers more than a stay—it’s a step back in time. Nestled in picturesque Kersey, beside the renowned Bell Inn and near the famous Kersey Splash, the cottage is perfectly placed for Suffolk countryside walks, pretty chocolate-box houses and a warm village welcome.

The Stables At Sprotts Farm

Sitting in 10 acers of private grounds, Sprotts Farm is the perfect countryside getaway. The Stables is a beautifully converted barn that was completely updated in 2020. This cosy cottage sleeps four guests in a double room with a WC and a twin room. The Stables boast a large walk in shower. Looking forward to meeting you! PS: we have a pond in the main garden and our chickens are free range and wonder freely around the gardens.
