It is ten min. walk to swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking at kid-friendly Sandy Beach, or a 15 min. walk down to an ocean beach and Mansons Lagoon. Friday Market and Cortes Museum are a short stroll away.

Private walking trail off the cottage and access to the One Spot Trail at the end of our private drive. We are 20 mins from downtown Courtenay and 10 mins to the Mount Washington turn off.

Our " floathouse" has everything a guest could want, privacy and a beautiful waterfront location on the Whaletown Lagoon. There is a shared family dock for launching your kayaks, swimming, or just relaxing and watching the changing of the tides. Its vintage ambience combines much of its original historical nature and water travels with modern updates. A former bunk house for hand logging camps and part of our floating household, its traveling days are now over.
