This is a fresh and beautifully designed five-bedroomed detached villa on two levels, featuring contemporary décor with wooden floors and modern bathroom facilities. The property has a wonderfully bright reception room, with substantial area for entertaining, dining and seating, patio and French windows providing decked access to extensive garden, solid oak traditional open-plan kitchen with open-vaulted cathedral ceiling and well appointed appliances.
It comprises reception hall, lounge/sitting room, computer/study area, five bedrooms (four doubles) with lounge doubling as a 6th bedroom, double-basin bathroom, shower room with basin plus an additional WC-cloakroom (three WCs in all). [Accommodation comprises 1 twin, 1 double, 1 triple, 2 quadruple bedrooms.] Double sofabed in lounge combines as 6th bedroom, plus the main living-reception area has a further large double sofabed (nb. limited privacy). All rooms and lounges are spacious enough for flexibility in accommodating extra children or adults so, with two additional camp beds, there is ample space for sleeping up to 20 guests (plus space for a few extra airbeds).]
The property is centrally heated by a gas-fired combination boiler, plus the lounge has a real log/coal fire to help make evenings more cozy. Other facilities include a utility room with fitted washing machine, a single garage plus roof terrace above and plenty of fitted wardrobes / cupboards / drawer chests providing ample storage. Fresh bed linen and towels will be provided, and can be changed when guests stay for longer durations. Kitchen, dining and cookware is all provided, with extras made available for larger celebration events.

You'll have access to the whole villa and be able to use your own private garden as well as share the wider gardens of Rockbank next door - where your host lives. Rockbank is one of the oldest houses in the Milngavie and Bearsden area, and surrounded by high perimeter stone walls with many mature trees.
The 5 bedrooms have bed spaces for 14 guests. In addition, the living area and lounge both have double sofa-beds. We provide two more camp beds with mattresses which can be used in the sitting room - thus, 20 guests. [Additional airbeds can be made available if required, but this is a family home rather than a hostel.]
Off-street parking for 4 vehicles. Oodles of on-street parking available.

Your Airbnb 'Superhosts' will check you both in and out as well as clean the villa in between guest stays. During your stay, they will be on hand to supervise and help with any problems.
Guidelines for using the property will be made available in advance as well copies on hand, along with advice about local events, amenities, sights and activities.

The area is extremely quiet (unless planes heading to Glasgow airport are flying unusually low).
Discounts for longer stays or large number groups can be discussed.
A strict but reasonable cancellation policy will be applied for bookings cancelled at relatively short notice [ie. when the booking reservation is unlikely to be re-sold].
A "fair usage policy'" is applied when using the central heating system. [eg. Running heating system at high temperature with windows left open would be considered unreasonable usage!]
Whilst guests are shown how to operate a thermostat controller, they should not pretend to be home heating engineers by attempting to modify the boiler's settings. Instead, they can ask the hosts to make any changes if required.
Respectful waste disposal ie expected (no littering or discarding cigarette butts).
Internal damage and missing items (eg. breakages, spillages/stains and items removed) may be charged.
In general, respectful behaviour is expected.
