My wife and me were travelling from Virginia to visit the Niagara Falls. We booked Shelley's place for a night's stay after its good reviews and label of Shelley being a Super Host. However 2 days before we started our trip, we called our host to discuss the check in time. Weirdly enough she never answered our calls and replied only to our texts. We mutually decided to collect the keys at night 11pm. To our horror, when we arrived at her doorstep on the said night at 11pm, the host never answered the doorbell. We double checked the address, called her, left her messsages but she chose not to reply or call back. We were tired after an 8 hour road trip and didnt have a clue what to do next. This host should be banned from AirBnB for what she did to us. To date, she never apologized or called back. We waited till 12am before heading out to book another hotel after discussions with AirBnB customer care. A big joke was that the host never answered the AirBnB customer care's calls either. I wonder what her problem was? When you cannot accomodate a guest, never take their booking. Our very first trip to Niagara was marred by this incident. She is absolutely not a Super Host and lacks manners of a human being. I strongly recommend not to stay at this host's place if you are ever visiting Buffalo, NY. Thanks to AirBnB customer care policies, we got a full refund for our hotel stay and also the amount we paid for Shelley's place. AirBnB please see that this host doesn't take future bookings.
