I traveled with my girlfriend through the whole Italy over the course of one week (Milano, Verona, Venice, Firenze, Roma), tried multiple airbnb's and I must say that Yulia's place was like out of another world, dream-like.
I could not believe any of it. We arrived with a bus, we get to the house and Fausto invites us in and shows us the bedroom, kitchen and other. He later compliments us that we got there without a car.
We decide to go to sleep after long day, but I go downstairs to get the water and I meet Fabio in the kitchen. We got talking, he was an awesome person and really pleasant to talk to and he offers me his wine. So we got drinking with Fabio and Fausto, it was all really happy. Then I get my girlfriend to join us and it got even better.
Then Yulia arrives and offers us her homemade cheesecake. I ate almost quarter of the whole thing because of how good it tasted!! Best homemade cheesecake I have ever had.
Then her daughters(?) come and one of them stars playing the piano. The atmosphere was fantastic.. then she comes (or was it the older one, 13 year old?) and tells us she can speak almost 5 languages.
Then some russian ladies and Fausto's friend joined us and we ate, drank, laughed and it was all around awesome night. It seriously felt like in a dream.
The next morning Yulia made me and my gf coffee for breakfast (btw the best coffee I tasted for the whole week, I am coffee nerd a bit and I did not get better coffee that at Yulia's place in any coffee shop in the whole Italy), we ate some more of the cheesecake and some cookies with plum jam and then we found out that our train to Milano is leaving in 15 minutes and we have no idea which bus to take, nor we had the bus tickets.
So Yulia quickly called her friend who drove us there and helped us buy the tickets!!
Over the 9 days in Italy, this was the best stay ever.
I would like to stay there much longer, because the Bonate Sotto scenery was breath taking and it was all dream-like.
Thank you very much for your hospitality Yulia!!
P.S. As an IT sec researcher I really appreciated the strong wifi password! At every other place, be it other airbnbs through Italy or coffee shops, whatever, the password was always very weak. But Yulia apparently knows what the security is all about! We got a 20+ character password with [A-B][a-b][0-9][@]*, so a really strong one.
