The 'town house' is located in the heart of Paonia. The front and back yard with big trees and lots of shade are partially fenced. We just got the new Elevate fiber optics high speed Ethernet plus a 24" smart screne and a DVD player. A full kitchen is provided with coffee and tea for your stay. Enjoy an extra large shower/tub. Your clean pets are welcome :) Nature is sometimes a part of the experience here as this is an older house with newer additions in a farming/agricultural community.
2 Bd/ 1 Ba-one queen bed, one king bed, and an extra nook with a futon. High speed Ethernet. There are parking spaces available~bike shed, where you can leave your recycling. Cruiser bike available upon request! As mentioned above..please note: we do live in the country out here, this is a farming community with many older houses. In fact part of the "town house" is an old miner's cabin built in the 1880's. I do my best to keep the screens on the windows and skylights and root cellar.

I would love to answer, to the best of my ability any questions you may have about Paonia, it's produce, musical talents, culinary establishments, etcetera. I will not be present at the location for your stay, but will be available by phone and email. We can also recommend local hikes, biking trails and river systems to the outdoor enthusiasts! Make sure you plan to explore our national treasure, the Black Canyon of the Gunnison in at least one of it's 3 different park locations. Also highly recommended is Kebler Pass and the lake areas there within.

Each room has a step down into it. The floors are wooden throughout the house with a concrete floor in the living room, covered with area rugs. There is a gas fireplace and a woodstove. The bedroom has a mixture of down and polyester pillows. In the summer there is an irrigation ditch called 'the Paonia ditch' running alongside the front yard. please note: we do live in the country out here, this is a farming community with many older houses. In fact part of the "town house" is an old miner's cabin built in the 1880's. In this regard you might find some extra critters from time to time do different sorts. At this quaint oasis, dealing with a little nature is sometimes on the docket, not always. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
Pets on a case by case basis. I would ask that you kindly pick up after your dogs :)
Welcome to Paonia where my kids, donkeys and I currently live on Pitkin mesa. We enjoy mountain biking, skiing and hiking the local trails in the North Fork valley and would love to share that info with you!
During the summers we also really enjoy the local rivers and enjoy various floating methods such as kayaking, rafting, tubing and even whitewater canoeing in the Gunnison and Colorado river valleys occasionally making it as far as the Green River in Utah.
If it is winter, you can enjoy world class skiing 360 degrees around Paonia....all within about 2 hours!! The nice part is that if it is snowing in the South, you go to Telluride. If it is snowing in the East, you go to Crested Butte, or Aspen. If it is snowing up North then you can ski here in many self-locamoted styles and McClure Pass or Stevens Gulch is our local favorite. If it is snowing West of here...then the Grand Mesa is a winter wonderland with Powderhorn ski area being only 1.5 hours away.
Of course most visitors come in the summer! The winters can be quite awesome as well.
Hope you enjoy Paonia as much as we do, and we would be happy to help with any questions you may have plus assist you to the best of our ability' "Everything in moderation;)"
