Lisa's home is amazing! She has put much thought into how this space works the best for her guests. On our arrival there was some soothing soundscapes playing from the TV, the fireplace (electric) going, without the heat, and the lights nicely lit. Lisa came out to greet us and give us a quick tour!
There was plenty of extra odds and ends there in case we forgot something in the kitchen, fridge and bathroom. Matter a fact my stomach was upset and I had a headache on arrival and in the fridge was a ginger ale and unsweetened apple sauce! In the bathroom was some tylenol as well. It was perfect! The linens and towels are all freshly cleaned and perfectly cozy for your stay!
The Murphy bed was a little intimidating as my boyfriend (260) and I (210) are both bigger but it held up fine! The bed feels somewhat hard when just pressing with your hand but when you lay on down, it conforms and gives without being too soft or too hard.
We cooked breakfast each day on the stove top and used the toaster oven, even setting off the smoke detector for a few seconds lol. It works! There was coffee grounds and creamer in the fridge, so we made coffee as well. Everything worked well and there was supplies for us to wash up in the kitchen after ourselves. Thinking back I think we might have forgot the coffee filter the last day! SORRY! :(
The water pressure was great in the shower, no issues there. The bathroom is a nice size for you to get ready plus there was an additional huge mirror outside the closet that I was about to utilize for getting ready to attend our function while in town while he was in the bathroom getting ready.
My only regret about Lisa's was not being able to stay longer!! How I so wanted to drink some wine, listen to the water feature on the patio, and enjoy the cool northern air! Hopefully when we travel up again Lisa will still have this space available for us!
We tried Carmens Deli in Belmar and really enjoyed it!Its less than a 10 minutes drive away. We also stopped at the Hallmark store prior to our function and they had what we needed plus some chocolates that were great. I wanted to try Big Luxe (sp?) a local bakery but didn't have time. We used Uber to and from our function at Valley Brook Country Club and it cost about $10.00 each way.
