I take household trash to the dump occasionally... like 2 - 4 times a YEAR. That way I'm honest about the amount of non-recyclable, non-compostable stuff i bring home. This offer of my apartment does not include sorting and washing your trash. I've learned I have to be quite firm about this. Tossing massive amounts of stuff is seen as a birthright to many, (mostly Americans, I'm afraid...)
I will train you regarding using the wood stove. Letting me know your arrival time will allow me to start a fire (when needed) if my schedule allows, and if not I will make sure the propane heater has the place cozy.
The neighbor hood is quiet and rural. Very pretty. A little rarified, but we're doing our best to bring it down-home.... there are great people around but you dont see them too often.
