Murial's beach villa was absolutely immaculate and the Ko Olina Beach Villas resort was the perfect setting for a relaxing Hawaiian vacation.
Our flight was delayed and we arrived after midnight. When we stepped into the open air reception area, the travel stress of the past 24 hours immediately dissipated. The staff was extremely welcoming and assisted with our luggage.
The condo itself was much more than I was expecting. It is located on the 3rd floor with one other unit sharing the elevator. The door opens into a large dining, living and kitchen open area with a wall of sliding glass doors, which completely disappeared when fully open, leaving an open view out over the pool, Koi pond and palm trees toward the beach and beautiful sunsets. The kitchen is adorned with high end appliances, beautiful cabinets and counters. The lighting is well laid out throughout the unit with ceiling fans in every room.
The terrace sits above the quiet pool. It has four comfy chairs and a table, which is where we ate most of our meals. There is also a bin full of beach gear, including an array of boogies boards, floaties and sand castle tools.
The condo was stocked with seasonings, olive oil, detergents, soaps, tissues, toilet paper and paper towels. All of the rooms had high-end TVs and DVD players.
The two bedrooms had comfortable beds and quality linens. The master suite was large with a beautiful bathroom, large, walk-in tiled shower and an immense, deep tub. My kids and I enjoyed playing in it every night before bed. The second bedroom and bathroom were smaller, however, still very comfortable.
The Ko Olina Beach Villas resort is exceptional. It has multiple beautiful pools and Jacuzzis with varying depths and temperatures. It even has a shallow sand pool for kids. There are multiple large high-end Wolf gas BBQs in two locations and a beach front bar.
The mini resort sits between the much larger Disney Aulani, Marriott and Four Seasons resorts. It is the only resort facing the beach/lagoon in front of it, leaving it relatively quiet and peaceful compared to the lagoons in front of the larger resorts. It is a 10-minute walk down a postcard perfect beach path to the larger resorts, so if you desire more activities/interaction, they are within easy reach. We had family staying at the Aulani, so we walked over almost every day. It was always nice to come home to our quiet oasis.
Directly across the street from the resort is the premier Ko Olina golf course, which hosts a Roy’s – world famous for Chef Roy Yamaguchi’s Hawaiian Fusion cuisine.
Kapolei itself has everything you need. Within a 10 minute walk from the Ko Olina Beach Villa there is shopping area with an ABC store, boutique shops, restaurants, coffee and ice cream shops. Within a short taxi ride, you can find everything...even a Costco!
Thank you for hosting on Airbnb, Murial! We look forward to returning.
