Hi there Stephanie. I apologize that you did not enjoy your experience staying with us. In the instructions I sent you, I did mention that I would be unavailable during your check-in hours and to refer to the self-check-in procedure that I sent you. I tried to be kind and left the backdoor unlocked for you.
When I came home later that evening before we went out for fireworks, I saw that you left your bedroom door open so I shut it for you so that the dogs would NOT get in. From your comment above, one must have already been under the bed when I shut your door for you. As for the men's shorts, the dog must have pulled a pair out of one of the draws. We do not personally occupy that room at any time.
The dogs will only bark when someone comes in or out of the home. I did mention that I have dogs multiple times on my profile and in the check-in procedure.
At 1:30am, my apologies that we woke you. We went out for the 4th of July. We tried to stay outside on the deck so we would not wake you. No one was arguing, we must of been telling stories about our holiday evening.
I see on your page that you have only 1 review and do not have much experience using Airbnb, which is absolutely fine. However, when you sign up to stay in a Private Room in a Home, with 3 people already living in the home, 2 dogs, on the 4th of July, down at the beach, in the summer time, it is expected to hear some noise. (And all of these things mentioned are listed on my profile.) The same would be for if you stayed in a hotel or any other shared home in Lewes or Rehoboth beach on Independence Day.
Again, we apologize that you did not enjoy your stay. Please look into "Entire Place" instead of "Private Rooms" for future bookings and especially holidays. Thank you and enjoy the rest of your summer.
