-Catching fireflies in the large backyard
-Exploring the groomed trails through woods and meadows-borrow a field guide and identify the many species of birds, insects and wildflowers on the property

Guest space includes the entire first floor of the house, including a laundry/mud room, private bathroom, private bedroom, dining room and [limited] kitchen access (for coffee, tea, bagels etc). The patio and herb gardens are just outside the front door. We encourage guests to snip, sniff and sample the herbs and relax on the patio. Most of our living spaces (other than the kitchen) are on the second and third floors of the house, where we both work from home. We pass through the first floor occasionally to go upstairs or make a sandwich, but otherwise spend little time there.
Guests may also enjoy the yard, garden and groomed trails through the woods.
Access to the barn and animals can be provided by Ash or Matt upon request, as we will have to turn the electric fence off for you.

Guests are welcome to join Ash in the barn to meet and feed the animals, in the garden to chat and pull weeds, or on the patio to knit and talk wool!
If guests have a full itinerary or prefer solitude during their stay we fully understand and respect your privacy.
Další věci, které stojí za zmínku
We have indoor cats, they live on the top two floors of the house, where our living space is. They do not spend time on the ground floor where the guest room is. We also have two Australian Shepherd dogs, Finnegan & Augi, which spend most of their time hanging around the barn and woods and will be scarcely seen. Neither are aggressive, but the young one does like to bark when he meets new people (he gets excited). Our livestock is protected with an electric fence (we have a large chicken-eating Red Fox in the woods!). The fence is turned off when we are doing chores in or near the barnyard, but children (or impulsive adults) should not be left unsupervised near the fence. The shock from the fence is certainly not dangerous, but it is an uncomfortable experience.
- Guests should be respectfully quiet after 10pm
I'm Ash, I like to fish and knit and read. My fiancé, Matthew, and I live outside Philadelphia on a beautiful old Boone family property.
This year we began a new adventure together, farming. We started with 25 laying hens, 3 sheep and 1 seriously naughty goat. Next year we hope to grow our flock of sheep, as well as provide fresh eggs, vegetables and cut flowers to our community through a CSA.
We love new places and meeting new people!
