Review in English as this is (as other reviews in French suggest) a very French language area; and rightly so! Joel's gite, amid mixed farmland, offers seclusion and total tranquility whilst being close to the French-speaking, friendly (but not obtrusive) owners. The country views when we were there (mid September) were delightful - but in spring and summer it must be beyond stunning! The gite has everything a couple or family could possibly need. The pool is right by the gite and lovely. There are games to play, including table tennis, and Joel can lend you bikes (free) and all sorts of stuff. The home-made jam was lovely, and welcome pack plus juicy melons a much appreciated touch! There are fish to try and catch in the lake behind the house (big, and split in two). Its levels were low after a long hot summer - still caught small/modest sized carp (this is not a big fish water - there are well stocked public lakes nearby if you just get a regional/national permit). Local villages e.g. Beauville and Tournon D'Agenais, both on hilltops, are historic, have terrific views and well worth little trips out to explore, and to eat. River Lot (noted for cycling tracks) and various museums, vineyards etc just a short drive away. Highly recommended!
