Explore the Land of Enchantment! This beautifully appointed Colorado style yurt is on acreage that borders the Embudo River in Dixon, NM. Walk with your coffee to the river and meditate. Dixon is a lovely community known for its history, culture and art.
If you want to try something a little different and closer to nature without putting up a tent and rolling out your sleeping bag..try this!
The Queen size memory foam bed has 500 count cotton sheets. There is power in the yurt. Cell phone service can be sporadic on site, but it is better in town which is 1.5 miles down the road. The library has computers, wifi, copies, scanning and faxing.
There is clean water available in the yurt in a water dispensing crock and a Brita water pitcher. An electric kettle is provided as well as tea and coffee. It is expected that guests will enjoy the local restaurants rather than preparing meals on site.
The bathroom and outdoor kitchen have running water for 3 seasons and it is drained for the winter. Water is available on site in the winter and electric for heating water. Do not consider staying in the winter unless you are proficient with a wood stove and willing to use a solar bag for shower or sponge bathe with water heated in a kettle.

Další věci, které stojí za zmínku
Stay for a week and I will provide a lovely bottle of Vivac wine and chocolates. Check out the photos and (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Vivac Winery. Our local Deli at the Dixon co-op has prepared foods, a menu to order from and the market has most items that you might need. Zully's restaurant is locally owned with fabulous NM foods.
Our local Vineyards: Vivac is a beautiful venue with award winning wines, in house chocolatier, fromageri and picnic items available. Black Mesa Vineyard has a beautiful venue and gift shop. La Chiripada is one of NM oldest vineyards. Each within minutes. The Blue Heron Brewery makes microbrews on site. We have a wonderful wine tour that includes vineyards in other neighboring areas also.
Vivac and the Blue Heron have live music on Saturdays. Check there web sites for itinerary.
ABQ airport is approximately 3 hours south.
- Children and pets only with permission by host. Smoking only around fire pit...not in buildings or outdoor kitchen area. The space sleeps 2 only.
- I have a dog on site that does well with most dogs and is well trained...I would expect no less from visiting pets and they may not be left unattended on the property.
Please apply cologne or perfume while outside the tent so it is a suitable place for future guests with sensitivities.
Living in a yurt has been a long time dream of mine. I'm living the dream...close to nature and as simply as I can. My next dream is to complete a sailing course and live aboard part time.
I have stayed in other yurts and on permaculture farms with air b&b on Hawaii.
I've spent 26 years raising my children. My vocation is nursing and education.
I believe we honor this life we are given by REALLY LIVING!
