Our home, described as serene, has hosted family, friends and most recently a group of missionaries. We warmly welcome folks from all backgrounds and walks of life. Easy access to Downtown Frederick; about 1 hour to BWI, DCA, IAD. Historic Gettysburg is an easy 45 minute drive away and 3 Prime Outlets are 20 and 30 minutes away respectively (Clarksburg & Hagerstown, MD; Leesburg, VA). We're 15 min. to the C&O Canal, 25 min. to Harper's Ferry, WV, and 15 min. to the Appalachian Trail (AT).
The spacious guest-sleeping area, located in the lower level of our townhouse, provides a comfortable pullout single sofa bed by American Leather Comfort Sleeper. The full bath is for our guest's private use.

The family's modest dining room and Italian-inspired country kitchen with centre island are available to guests for breakfast. The "modified" continental breakfast is served "upon request" and may be enjoyed indoors as well as "al fresco" on the deck or the lower-level patio [weather-permitting]. There are two TVs none of which are cable/satellite connected; they work for streaming.

We work from a "home office" so there's usually someone available to greet guests on arrival and address needs/concerns as they may arise. We're most delighted to share our space, help you feel "at home" in our home, help you become familiar with nearby eateries and of course with Downtown Frederick! This is a "bed & breakfast" concept so we'll interact as much as you'd like. We offer a Keurig for preparation of coffee, chocolate, or tea; the Keurig is available at any time throughout your stay. The refrigerator is available to store medication. Towels are changed every other day. For extended-stay guests (3+ nights), linens are changed weekly.
Well-read, adventurous, compassionate, caring. While English is my native language, I communicate effectively in Spanish and moderately well in Italian. I love islands and island-living, enjoy walking for health and pleasure, have a passion for reading (yes, even listening to audio books), watching all sorts of movies (especially classic B&W), enjoy cooking and the beautiful presentation of the food prepared.
