Bruce, thank you for the heads up about the 6 foot path from the driveway to the back stairs. I have weeded it and placed a thick layer of fresh mulch on the path. : )
Our new microwave arrived yesterday and was installed in the kitchen. I’m sorry that not having one caused you inconvenience, Airbnb can be hard on appliances and you arrived in the gap between microwaves.
Our bedding is not ”on the floor". All three of our beds are on beautiful, finely crafted wooden platforms that are raised above the floor. My mother never had a problem sleeping on them, in fact she built them with her own two hands when she was in her late 60s. Yea, I’m proud of her!
My mother lived in that apartment well into her 70s and never had a problem with the stairs either. I believe what you mean is that it is not suitable for people with mobility issues like your wife. I agree. It is for that reason that we explicitly write in our description that the apartment is on the 3rd floor of an 1875 Victorian house and guests MUST acknowledge their ability to climb stairs.
I felt terrible for your poor wife when I realized that she has titanium in her ankles and climbing stairs causes her pain. She is a lovely and friendly lady. Next time you book a space you should read the description or you might put your wife in a similar situation again.
