Romantic cape built in 1830 on park like grounds in quiet neighborhood. Fireplaces, porch, dining, and living rooms decorated in shaker simplicity. Five miles from University of Connecticut and Eastern Connecticut State University. Mansfield Hollow Dam is public property with trails, boat launch, hiking, kayaking, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, ice fishing, and biking. Moose and eagle sightings!
This is a classic antique cape and simply appointed. The floors creak, but are wide, thick pieces of red oak throughout. Fireplaces work and there is space to relax in. Everything is in working order and is well used/cared for.
Mattress is a very comfortable natural latex with 100% cotton or fleece sheets (your choice). There are air mattresses available. There is an assortment of teas and french press coffee. Towels and soap available for showers.

The cat, Cutie Patootie (aptly named, trust me) will require that I come to feed her between 4-5pm each night. She can be bribed and loves a warm lap to sit in. She's terribly independent and comes and goes as she demands. Patootie is free to go outside. Allergic people have stayed without issue.
I enjoy entertaining friends and family at the farm and look forward to meeting new people. Here, the gardening is a full contact sport and when the deer keep away we have many blooms to admire.
