Thank you for loving my place as much as I do! We just put the unit up about 2 weeks ago and we definitely understand what you are saying about the noise. Our contractor was supposed to put up sound proofing tiles but the shipment is delayed from the mainland. It is not always easy to get materials needed here on Maui. The sound proofing tiles are arriving within this month and will be up shortly after. So it should greatly improve the space and sound. It is why the listing right now discloses noise. Once these special material is set up, the noise should be to the minimum.
The property is actually a one bedroom divided into two units (like many hotels nowadays with a connecting door in between). The noise is from the dividing door. We did this in order to achieve affordable places for people to stay right on the beach side. Otherwise, it gets very expensive to have a fully remodeled place on the beach at any affordable pricing. We looked around and with a new condition on the beach, it is over 3 times the cost at $300 a night. Around the beaches, condition of units are not great due to the salt water in the air. We are AirBnB travelers ourselves so we wanted to make places with prices that we would stay ourselves. Hence the choices we made. We just think the higher end beach experience should be affordable to all.
Thank you for your understanding.
