Guest explained about the police, after checkout. Seems previous guests had an encounter and police were looking for them. Total error in judgement on my part letting them into my unit and I apologized for the wake up call.
Guest also explained about the heat, again after checkout. We do not live on site and our house binder explains to call emergency 24x7 if ever there is any problem. I did not receive a message on my airbnb chat so I wanted to know if they had called our emergency line and no one got back to them. They never responded. Their only response was that they would leave a positive review only if I credited them for the cleaning fee. Must say that rubbed me the wrong way. Especially when we leave a space heater in the unit for very cold nights, extra sets of blankets, and an emergency line to call. Our cleaner also went in shortly after checkout as we had another guest coming and she indicated that the unit was fine with regards to heat. We had no complaints before these guests and no complaints afterwards with regards to heat.
Situation with regards to coffees and teas were never communicated to us.
I was even going to just let this die. Not leave a bad review or provide any negative comments in hopes they would do the same. Chaulk it up to experience. But since they have given us a negative review I thought everyone should know both sides of the story. With Airbnb we have had SO many positive experiences. Hate to see our experience tainted by this negative one. But I would never recommend renting to these people.
