Comfy Hood Canal Home - Beautifully Updated for Your Down to Earth Luxury. Enjoy a retreat from everyday life in a beautiful, NW cedar home featuring a wall of windows & decks facing the Hood Canal. It’s perfect for a romantic getaway for two or for a family getaway. Our comfy, updated home features a brand new kitchen with quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, an open concept living/dining area with high ceilings, a wet bar and pellet stove. Relax and enjoy the view or BBQ on the spacious deck. The bedroom on the main floor features king-size bed, and the large upstairs loft bedroom has two comfortable full-size futons. The newly renovated bathrooms include walk-in showers and granite vanities and there's a jetted soaking tub upstairs. There's also an outdoor shower in the back and a laundry room with a washer and dryer. All linens are provided except beach towels.

You'll be steps away from 200 feet of shared beachfront. There are buoys to tie up to, if you want to bring your boat. You can swim out to our raft in the summer, relax on a floatie, or read a book in a deck chair. There is a community fire pit for an evening campfire as you watch the sun go down and maybe roast a marshmallow or two.

We will not be at our Hood Canal Beach Home during your stay. Our property manager, Beth Koenig lives across the street. She will check you in upon arrival and provide assistance an answer your questions as needed. Please know that we have a private homeowner's suite room on the second floor. It will remain unoccupied during your stay. We do not make it available for any short term rentals. Occasionally we will consider renting it for stays of 4 weeks or longer for an additional cost. Also, the backyard storage shed and it's contents are not included in rentals. Thank you.

We will consider pets (maximum 2) on a case by case basis with $50 per night pet charge. That charge will be added to your total rental amount. There are oyster beds on Wagon Wheel Beach. We recommend you wear aqua socks or water shoes when you go into the water. Shellfish harvesting is restricted to Wagon Wheel homeowners on Wagon Wheel Beach. If you'd like to harvest shellfish, please purchase a license in town and walk to the beach at nearby Belfair State Park. Thank you!

OCCUPANCY TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
*THIS IS A NON-SMOKING FACILITY* smoking is not permitted inside home or on decks. You can smoke in the yard or on the driveway if you discard your butts and ashes in an outdoor receptacle. Any evidence of smoking in our home or on our decks will result in loss of your security deposit.

Maximum Occupancy is 6 people. Rate quoted is based on guests. Please note: there a $10 per person per night charge for additional guests (over 4 and up to 6.)

Parking is limited. You may park maximum of 2 cars in our driveway. Parking is not permitted on the black top area in front of the beach. This is for emergency vehicles only. Please don’t park additional cars anywhere on Wagon Wheel Road, You and your guests may park any additional vehicles in the parking area at the corner of Wagon Wheel and North Shore Road.

Please Don’t Bring the Outdoors Inside: Please take off your shoes at entrance to house and don't bring sand or salt water from the beach inside. Rinse off with the outdoor shower and leave your wet, sandy towels on the deck.

Pets: We will consider a maximum of 2 pets per stay on a case by case basis. A $50 per pet/per stay pet fee will be charged. Please do not let them on the furniture and be responsible for their behavior and messes (inside and out.) Bring your own towels (do not use ours) to wash and dry your dogs after they swim and before they go inside. We reserve the right to deduct pet cleaning or damage expense from your security deposit. Please note our HOA Pet Rules:
1. If a dog is outside of our home, it must be accompanied by it’s owner.
2. Owners must pick up, bag & dispose of their dogs' waste in our trash can.
3. Dogs should be on a leash or under voice control at all time.
4. Pet owners are responsible for any damage or injury caused by their pet(s).

Trash: Trash pick up is every Monday. Recycling pick up is on alternate Mondays. Our bins are located behind the house, outside the back the back door. On Sunday nights, please place the bins by the street. On Monday, please return the empty bins to the concealed area behind the house as soon as possible. Upon check-out, please empty all indoor trash cans and place it in the outside trash bin.

Exclusions: This vacation rental agreement excludes the 2nd floor homeowner suite which will remain locked and unoccupied throughout your stay. Attempts to enter or use the contents of the locked upstairs owner's suite, outdoor shed and their contents and the small boat in the yard are considered theft of personal property. This will result in immediate eviction and loss of all monies in security, rental and fees. No exceptions.

Security Deposit
Guests assumes responsibility for all any all billable damages & the security deposit for this contract is $250. It will be refunded when you return the keys to us and the cabin is left in good condition, based on inspection by cleaning service. Any damages, exceptional cleaning services or thefts will be deducted from the deposit. We will refund your full deposit to you w/no damages
Termination Policy This property is privately owned and we reserve the right to terminate the agreement at any time (subject to the terms and conditions above). The owners will not be responsible for accidents or injury to occupants, for loss of money, jewelry, or valuables of any kind. I/we agree to release and hold harmless the owner(s) or the Wagon Wheel Homeowners Association from any liability related to accident or injury or theft of any kind during the rental period. The owner gives the right to occupants to use their home as presented upon arrival. I/we agree to maintain the property in the same condition in which it was found and agree to pay for damages.

WAGON WHEEL COMMUNITY RULES
Speed Limit on Wagon Wheel Road is 10 mph.
Community Noise Ordinance – Please, no loud outside music or use of motorized yard equipment between 6pm and 10am. Please keep voices down outside between 10pm-8am.
Shellfish Harvesting – Belfair State Park is located within walking distance of our home and offers public shellfish harvesting. Rules are posted in the Park. Shellfish harvesting licenses are required and available in the town Belfair. Shellfish Harvesting on the tidelands off of the Wagon Wheel Beach is restricted to Wagon Wheel Homeowners, long-term renters (over 30 days) and their family. Our Property Managers are homeowners. If their schedule permits, they may be willing to harvest shellfish (within legal limits) for vacation rental guests at an additional cost. If you are interested, please contact them directly to find out their availability and fees for this service.

These rules will be strictly enforced by Wagon Wheel Security and various full time neighbors. Parties in violation are subject to immediate eviction and loss of all monies in securities and rent.

Your reservation serves as your acceptance of agreement to all of the above for yourself and all of your guests.

RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT – Anyone who intends to use Wagon Wheel Beach facilities agrees to the following.

I understand that our participation and/or involvement in any water activity on Hood Canal using any floatation device, dock, canoe, paddleboards, boats, etc. provided in rent and by renter or by anyone in Wagon Wheel carries with it the potential for certain risks, some of which may not be reasonably foreseeable.

I further acknowledge that these risks could cause me, or others around me, harm, including, but not limited to, bodily injury, damage to property, emotional distress, or death.

I and my guests are willing participants in water sports at Hood Canal adjacent to property at 141 NE Wagon Wheel Road, Wagon Wheel Estates HOA beachfront properties and entirety of Hood Canal.

By signing this agreement, I agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless JLG Properties, LLC, property owner(s), Wagon Wheel Home Owners Association, or anyone associated with or employed by any of the above companies, as well as all {their/its} employees, agents, representatives, successors, etc. from all losses, claims, theft, demands, liabilities, causes of action, or expenses, known or unknown, arising out of my participation in any and all water sports and beach activities, whether involving permanent structures or floatation devices of any and all types. The beach has no lifeguards and all swimming and water sports are participated in at your own risk.

Your reservation serves as your acceptance of agreement to all of the above for yourself and all of your guests.

Gorgeous home! Very clean and comfortable. Has all the amenities you could want and the bathrooms are amazing! You can see the canal from the deck and the host provides table and chairs with an umbrella as well as comfy lounge chairs. Close walking distance to the canal and nice chairs to sit on at the shore if needed. My 4 year old grand daughter did not want to leave! We hope to return soon.

This house was amazing! I felt so relaxed here and it's really close to the water. We played horseshoes and enjoyed the community bonfire pit nightly. We had a friends wedding nearby and we will definately be back to enjoy this place. We loved it! P.S. the decor in the house is beautiful and the caretakers are awesome!

We had a great time there - even it was wet and cold outside for the most part. This well remodeled home is one of the best where we've stayed - nice, roomy, clean, and well stocked kitchen. The pellet wood stove made the indoors like Spring. We were papered by the luxury of two beautiful bathrooms plus the jetted tub upstairs. The view of the canal is beautiful from the living room windows. We also appreciated the kind guidance and smiles of Barb and Phil who are the onsite managers living across the street.

We had a wonderful time at Jaymi's place. The pictures don't really do justice - it is a lovely, well appointed home. There was plenty of room for the 4 people in our party. The neighborhood is really special/ We were warmly welcomed. The water is nearby and pleasantly warm. There is a lot of things to do nearby so Jaymi's served as an excellent launch pad for adventures. We also had a couple down days where we stayed in and barbecued and ate outside on the deck. We recommend this place and heck we might even come back!

Hey Molly, Thanks for your comments. I'm sorry you had to purchase paper towels, trash bags and sponges. We provide those things. If you had asked, Beth would have gotten some out of her storage for you. Since I don't live nearby, we rent the house on a "self-catered" basis" and don't stock kitchen consumables. Sometimes the previous guest leaves some aluminum foil or cling wrap and sometimes they don't. I often have to restock that kind of stuff when I'm there, too:) Fortunately, the supermarket is nearby so it's easy to pick some up. Thanks for the comments about the oyster beds and water socks... that is a great suggestion!! I will update my listing.

Jaymi was a very communicative host and was welcoming to her home. The house is really beautiful, and the interior is better than the photos portray - very new features and incredibly clean. We loved walking down to the beach (about 200 feet) and generally enjoying the Hood Canal area. My only tip for future bookers is that the pantry is pretty sparse on staples (oil, flour, etc), so make sure you bring or buy everything you may need to cook meals. Otherwise, HIGHLY recommend as a great getaway!

Hi Meghan, Thanks for your comments and I'm glad you enjoyed your time at our home. Since we don't live nearby, we offer our home on a self-catered basis and don't restock the pantry between guests. There's a convenience store - within walking distance and or a QFC and Safeway in Belfair, about 4.25 miles away -- where folks can get what they need. I'm also sorry about the note regarding Redbox. We have an HDMI cable attached to the living room TV so guests can hook up their computers to watch DVD's. That's what we do when we are there:) Thanks for calling that to our attention. We'll update that note to advise them that we have the HDMI cable and to bring their adaptor if they use a Mac. Thanks again and all the best, Jaymi
