It’s a two floors country house, with six double bed rooms, four single beds, equipped with two kitchens, three bathrooms, living and dining room, a large portico, terrace and solarium. Outside you can find a tennis/small soccer court, a bowling alley and a table tennis, with four private car places. The villa, named “Olive-tree House”, is placed inside a two-hectares private park, in a hill dominating Noto Valley and Noto Gulf, the most southern Sicilian area, surrounded by pines, firs and, of course, olive trees, aromatic bushes of Mediterranean maquis. By car you reach the sea in 15 minutes.
Nearby (3 miles) is Cavagrande del Cassibile, a natural creek between two wings of calcareous stone; you can reach it only by foot and this is the reason is never crowded; very good for diving and snorkling; from the cliff two roads lead to the Avola Seaside and the mouth of Cassibile River where you can find a beach of white sand, a very charming place, a perfect balance between river and sea landscape. You can reach also the fountain where was signed the Armistice in the Second World War, after the landing of the anglo-american troops in Sicily (September, 8 1943). The “cave” are natural cuts in the earth typical of tablelands of this country. “Cavagrande” is one of the most important, excavated by the flowing of Cassibile River in this part of Sicilian tableland. Vegetation is very rich and moisture favours orchids growth, Fauna is represented by hedgehog, weasel, dormouse, martenand, red fox. The Cavagrande lakes are reachable by a steep path, close to the western side of the canyon (it takes less than an hour).
