My home is incredibly comfortable! Both bedrooms come equipped with very comfortable queen beds. Each room includes a ceiling fan. The house has a nice fireplace. The bathroom is brand new, as is the kitchen, which is equipped with solid wood cabinetry, new appliances, butcher block counter-tops and Keurig coffee maker (coffee pods included!). Watch the neighbors walk by as you enjoy your coffee on the front porch while sitting in the nice porch chairs.
Guest have full access to the home, which includes a new washer and dryer inside the home.
The house is within the historic area of Riverside Avondale. Riverside and Avondale are two adjacent and closely associated neighborhoods, alternatively considered one continuous neighborhood, of Jacksonville, Florida. The area is primarily residential, but includes some commercial districts, including Five Points, the King Street District, and the Shoppes of Avondale.
Riverside was first platted in 1868 and was annexed by Jacksonville in 1887. Its greatest growth occurred between the Great Fire of 1901 and the failure of the 1920s Florida land boom; this period included the creation of the original Avondale development in 1920. Today, Riverside and Avondale are notable for their particularly diverse architecture and their emphasis on planning and historic preservation, which have made them Florida's most architecturally varied neighborhood. Both neighborhoods are listed as National Register Historic Districts.

Hello there! I have always had a passion for hospitality and historic architecture. I began my career with Hilton, owned a restaurant, and recently retired from Johnson & Johnson to focus on real estate and my two beautiful daughters full time.
In the summer of 2014, a friend of mine approached me about converting some of my long-term rental properties in the Riverside area of Jacksonville to AirBnB. I was aware of AirBnB, but honestly did not know much about the platform.
One thing we both agreed upon: there are no hotel options in the historical neighborhoods of Jacksonville. A need was defined!
My AirBnB offerings are considered excellent values by more than 90% of my 2,000+ guests to date. You certainly get what you pay for, and most guests believe they get more than they paid for: a clean, simple, well-appointed place to stay in excellent locations for a fraction of hotel pricing.
Give one of my places a try!
