With the services they expected, the "corporate" feel that they desired, they were better off booking a resort or a five star rated hotel. A homestay is beyond them. A home is exactly that, not with 24 hour room service and 24 hour house keeping which they insisted. Sadly, despite going out of the company policy, I looked into most of their demands, even arranging for something special for the parents' anniversary, I will be loosing money for hosting them. I wish I had the documentation for the extra services I provided to them during their stay, so in fact I would not be loosing money but getting reimbursed for it. However, I would not be changing the villa policies to inconvenience other guests, most of whom who have been extremely happy with the place, just because of one demanding guest. They knew that Airbnb requires some documentation for registering complaints, therefore even before seeing the villa completely, they started clicking pictures of "unclean" spots. I got it cleaned with in half an hour as per their directions. Even though I offered them to contact Airbnb for a refund if they were not happy with my place, they chose to stay their entire duration, and even requested late check out which I obliged. Also, they had no respect for natural resources and always left their air conditioners on even when they were out of the villa for 6 hours or longer.
Regarding " warm welcome", sorry, but I do not stand for the guests after 4 hour flight delays with open arms. If I am not around due to their check in time change, the manager is duly going to follow the procedure of security deposit, ID cards, etc.
Regarding chimney, stove, flush probably too high end for guests not accustomed to staying in high end villa. First of all, chimney has auto smoke detector. Doesn't need any manual input. Second, 3 stoves were " only" working because the 4th one is electric stove, like induction/ hot plate, not LPG, in case cylinder is over at the last minute (DUH). Regarding the flush, you ADMITTED to the care taker once he showed you 3 times how the flush in the villa works, that you were using it wrong. If it wasnt you, ask in your group who asked again and again to show the functioning of the flush. Ultimately, I changed the entire system to a more "user friendly one"
(All for a flush)
Kindly do not blame your duplicate phone chargers going bust on villa " power fluctuations". We do not have UPS, but it is mandatory in Goa to have stabilizers. But I guess you wouldn't know the difference.
One last thing,do not act so petty by putting false reviews just to squeeze some refund out of the host. You had the option from my end with in 24 hours to contact Airbnb customer care for refund, but you knew you wouldn't find a better, cheaper and more centrally located place than this. Shame this has to go public. But for me, after a certain point, it isn't about the money. I don't put put up with lies and rude behavior for all the money in the world.
