Flagstaff private home off the beaten path but in a peaceful neighborhood. Quiet, low key, come 'n go on an acre. I have two friendly dogs (Wanda and Lilli), and a cockatiel (Fred). We have streaming TV, internet computer (WiFi is available), and a patio to grill and chill. We have one small, medium, and large bedroom. Full kitchen, dining, and living rooms are also available for your stay. Make yourself at home. I provide a self-serve continental breakfast.
This guest room (10X14) is $67 and a smaller guest room (9.5X11) is $57 per night (see separate listing San Francisco Peaks Wildernest #3). These two rooms share a bathroom unless one or the other isn't booked. There is also a master (14X15) with private bath is $77 per night (San Francisco Peaks Wildernest #2).
There is a stereo in the living room with Sirusw/XM radio and CD player, so if you wanna rock or just relax, go ahead! There is even room to dance!
We are in an area to see and do all kinds of things the year 'round. Music and entertainment venues are varied and very affordable. The Lowell Observatory, Grand Canyon, Sedona, Painted Desert, Petrified Forest, biking, trails, fishing, hunting, and skiing are just some of the fun to be had. And it is ALOT cooler than the rest of AZ.
Downtown shopping is about 5 to 10 miles away. Local taverns, shopping mall, and the closest restaurant are within 5 miles. There is a hiking trail up the mountain about a 1/4 mile at the end of our road and several more nearby.
Pets are welcome with pre-approval. I do not let my dogs have the run of the house and they are outside most of the time; if necessary they can stay in the garage. My pups do not get along with cats so, they will have to remain with you or stay inside. You are welcome to prepare your own meals, please clean up afterward. I usually do not wear shoes in the house unless I am in and out. So long as your shoes are clean, it's OK. The living room and patio are good places to hang out and have a glass of wine or grill up some wings. You are free to use the house and always, have fun and come again!
Hi, I'm David. I am 61 years old and I have lived in Flagstaff for about 18 years. I am originally from New England. My pups keep me company and look after things when I am at work as an environmental consultant of over 23 years. The sunshine is uplifting and the monsoon season is a great time to rejuvenate; besides the winters are fairly mild. I enjoy the outdoors and find that Flagstaff is a good location to "get there from here". If you are planning to stay awhile or just passing through, we would love to share our humble home with you.
