Beautiful and peaceful location in a picturesque region often called 'Portuguese Lake District'. What I like most in my property is the easy access and proximity to several river beaches, lakes, cascades and mountains with breathtaking sceneries!
By the time you reach Casa Inês, you will have travelled along quiet roads through the fabulous landscape of this stunning region, and be eagerly anticipating your arrival. You won't be disappointed, because, from the moment you walk through the door of this beautifully restored traditional stone house you'll feel at home and appreciate the care and attention to detail, everything carefully prepared and spotlessly clean in readiness for you arrival.
Maybe you'll want to relax awhile outdoors in order to absorb the rural charm of this unspoiled region. There's something dependable and permanent about this ancient landscape of olives, forest and vines, where traditional farming methods are still in evidence and time passes slowly by, casting its spell on the visitor as the pressures of modern living melt away.
But don't think for one moment you are removed from the pleasures of great cuisine and astonishingly good wines, because fine dining in restaurants with fabulous views of lakes, gorges and traditional mountain villages comes as standard and at surprisingly low prices!
In fact everything you'll ever need is within easy reach of Casa Inês, shops of every description and picturesque local towns where you can relax in the sun and enjoy a coffee at one of the numerous cafe bars, or wander along ancient cobbled (calçada) streets admiring old whitewashed churches and traditional limestone buildings.
If eating at home is your desire, al fresco dining is an absolute delight in this landscape of ancient olive trees. What could be better than enjoying home cooked food prepared in our modern well equipped kitchen or on the custom built barbecue, whilst gazing at the views and sampling delicious local wines or a cold beer?
Vibrant and colourful markets are also a major feature in the nearby towns, where you can mix with the locals and be charmed by the friendly, welcoming nature of the Portuguese people; a sincerity which leaves a lasting impression on every visitor to what many describe as 'The Real Portugal'.You’ll also discover rich layers of history, Roman mosaics & villas, medieval towers & the well preserved castles of Tomar or Penela where you can sit & watch the sun dip below the horizon, taking the heat out of the day as a warm glow from the west picks out the mountains away to the east. The most outstanding benefit of this area is it’s diversity, which enables the visitor to tailor their holiday to suit the whole family regardless of age.

Vztahy s hosty
I will always be available to help in any way I can, before, during & after your stay. Minor problems (if you encounter any) will be dealt with asap. I always ensure guests have maximum privacy, but I'm available to chat about anything you might need for your holidays: sightseeing, hints for best restaurants, etc... You can call or text me, or you can email & use messengers, but I cannot guarantee I'll be connected to internet all time, so your messages might not be seen immediately. I work in the region, so I'll always be only one step away.
Další věci, které stojí za zmínku
Unfortunately the region was affected by the devastating fires of June 2017. The village was affected too. But it’s recovering very fast due to the swift response of the government and associations. Dead trees are being removed fast, but no doubt you will see the affected landscape when travelling here. All roads, electric, mains water, communications fully operational. The ‘green’, for what the region is famous for, is slowly coming back and in a couple of months the landscape will be mostly ‘healed’. Local economy needs help, so staying at Casa Inês (or any other local accommodation), shopping in local shops, eating in local restaurants & keeping tourism active, is no doubt, one of the best ways to help the region recover!
