Situated in a charming serene neighborhood, just a quick 5 minute bus ride to Harvard Square. Unique shops, varied architecture and a beautiful reservoir popular for hiking nearby. You'll see many homes dating from the Colonial era on historic Brattle Street if you walk or bike to Harvard Square. We try to make guests feel "at home." We serve coffee and tea in the morning, along with a muffin or scone + a Keurig in your room. Discounts: 10% for 4-6 nights. 15% for a week+.
This lovely 3-bedroom apartment in West Cambridge encompasses the top floor + converted attic of a three-story house. It's the most historic, architecturally-rich neighborhood in Cambridge, with easy access to the walking trail around beautiful Fresh Pond reservoir.
The available room has one very comfortable full-sized bed plus desk; it’s full of light from a window and skylight. We have a futon-style single mattress (very comfortable memory foam) available, too.
There’s a good-sized bathroom on the same floor (shared with one person who lives here). Living + dining room and kitchen on the floor below, and a peaceful balcony overlooking the neighborhood – great for reading and eating outside. [Note there are two flights of stairs up to the apt].
There's one other bedroom on the floor, on the opposite end of the hallway. Our friend Kris has been living here for over five years. (It's unlikely you'll run into him, and noise is never an issue).
We're not set up for kids, but we have the extra mattress if you're traveling as a trio. So we can make it work.
Traveling between here and Harvard Sq on public transit [ the "T" ] is a breeze. 3 bus lines to Harvard run nearby. You can walk to them in 2 to 3 minutes. [MIT is two subway stops from Harvard Sq. Also easy to reach by bus from Harvard. I have one bike available - you can bike to Harvard in 6 mins.] Detailed directions by car or T available.
On street parking is generally easy to find.

You are welcome to use the entire apartment, with kitchen (and limited cooking) access. It's a great space and we like to see people enjoy themselves in it.

I work from home, so I'm generally available. I'm a Boston native, and I'm happy to share my recommendations for places to see and explore, and the best ways to get around. We really enjoy talking about travels and politics over wine and beer. But we're also fine if you prefer minimal contact.
Další věci, které stojí za zmínku
We have a list of personal favorite places around Boston that guests have found helpful, in case you're planning to tour the city.
There are condo-owners who live below us, so please be quiet on the steps in the late evening/ early morning when leaving and returning home. Thanks.
As hosts, we’ve lived here in Cambridge for 10 years and we love it. We’re art & culture enthusiasts and try to take advantage of the treasures that Boston & Cambridge offer. Carina makes cards when she finds the time, and Lee runs Cambridge Bread Rescue: a micro-organization that rescues bread from nearby bakeries and delivers it to pantries and shelters around town. He also writes marketing content, edits, coaches people in public speaking and bikes everywhere. Carina habla Espanol. Our travels have taken us to Siem Reap and Cambodia's first cooking school, Hanoi, Bangkok, the tropical undergrowth on the slopes of Pico Celaque [Celaque Peak] in Honduras, and the maze of alleys in the old section of Barcelona. We can easily live without wifi connections and social media, but not without a good notebook, a local market, and a plateful of figs.
